Madam, – Following Australia’s apology, I think it’s time the Irish State, church and the ISPCC gave an apology to people like myself. All these were involved in my case. When I was a child of four years, these organisations saw fit to take me from my family at Clonmel, had me detained in their institutions for 12 years, never again to see my mother. I have spent 60 years looking for information about her, but found no records, no record of my registration, no birth certificate, so who am I? It’s time they told me. – Yours, etc,
