Sir, – Now that the annual ritual of putting the clocks back an hour (what a pointless exercise!) has taken place, might the powers that be consider introducing a moratorium on the uttering of that now thoroughly jaded cliché,“Going forward”?
The phrase,“Going backwards” should be the order of the day until we revert to Summer Time on March 31st, 2013. With no apparent light at the end of the economic tunnel, could there be a more apt trite phrase to describe out present dark, impecunious state? – Yours, etc,
