Sir, - Yet again we are indebted to Bishop Willie Walshe for his leadership and vision. Like Gari McKeown (December 14th), I too found my spirits lifted to an extraordinary degree by your report of the pilgrimage of reconciliation undertaken by the bishop through his diocese.
It was simple, humble and direct, with a message that was uncluttered and self-explanatory. In these dark days it is a sign of hope representing the aspirations of many Christians. To me it is what the real Church could and should be about. - Yours, etc.,
