Two men have been remanded in custody after they pleaded guilty today to possessing almost €5 million worth of cocaine in north Cork last year.

Seán O’Donovan (45) and Richard Deutschenbaur (56) both pleaded guilty to possessing €4.8 million euro worth of cocaine for sale or supply at Bartlemy, Co Cork on October 13th last.

Both men pleaded guilty to the single charge when they were arraigned at Cork Circuit Criminal Court this morning before Judge Patrick Moran.

Both O’Donovan from Ballinakilla, Bartlemy and Deutschenbaur, a German national, with an address at Alinggas, Sweden have been in custody since they were arrested on October 13th last.

Judge Moran granted an application for adjournment by defence counsel and he remanded both men in continuing custody for sentence on the charge on June 22nd, 2012.
