Two teenagers facing charges related to an incident in which Garda Robbie McCallion suffered fatal injuries were further remanded in court today.

Cathal Dunleavy, with an address in Kerrykeel, Co. Donegal, was remanded in custody to Castlerea Prison to appear at Harristown District Court again on May 15th

In a separate hearing, 18-year-old student Jamie McGrenaghan, also with an address in Kerrykeel, and was again remanded on bail. He is to appear again at Letterkenny District Court on May 21st.

Neither man spoke in court.

Mr McGrenaghan is charged with dangerously driving a car and causing serious harm to Gda McCallion (29) in Tara Court, Letterkenny, on March 26th.

He is also charged, along with Mr Dunleavy, with stealing another car in Tara Court on the same occasion.

Garda McCallion died in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, and was buried in his home town of Swinford, Co Mayo, earlier this week.
