Two young girls were killed this afternoon when they were struck by a tractor trailer in Co Wicklow.
The incident happened at around 1 p.m. near the village of Avoca.
Gardaí are investigating the incident which resulted in the deaths of the girls - age 15 and 13.
Thye were struck by a trailer being towed by a tractor while out walking. Both were pronounced dead at the scene and removed to Loughlinstown hospital where a post mortem will be carried out.
