Brian Cowen must be feeling the pinch following revelations that the Department of Health has paid more than £100,000 to Drury Communications for PR work since the general election. This includes more than £12,000 for an initial two-month contract. However, the news was music to the ears of other PR firms - the rates paid to Drury's, are significantly higher than those paid to the rest of the industry. "We'll all be revising our prices now," one well-known practitioner told Quidnunc gleefully this week.
