The Labour Relations Commission has invited SIPTU and management at Greencore to attend conciliation talks in an attempt to avert industrial action by more than 350 SIPTU members at the company's sugar factories, Erin Foods and company quarries.
The Commission contacted both sides yesterday evening, as the union served Greencore with 14 days notice of its "intention to enter into an official dispute".
