Remand over Geoghegan killing

A man has been further remanded in custody charged with the murder of Shane Geoghegan (28) in Limerick last year.

A man has been further remanded in custody charged with the murder of Shane Geoghegan (28) in Limerick last year.

Barry Doyle (23), originally from Portland Row, Dublin 1, but with an address at Hyde Road, Limerick, is charged with the murder at Clonmore, Kilteragh, Limerick, on November 9th.

He appeared before Limerick District Court today, where gardaí revealed the book of evidence in the case has not yet been completed.

Judge Tom O’Donnell refused an application for a four-week adjournment of the case. He remanded Mr Doyle in continuing custody for a fortnight.
