Police in Belfast have issued an appeal to the public in a bid to contact the next of kin of William Downey (67) who was found dead in the city last April.

Mr Downey’s body was discovered on Kansas Avenue on Friday April 2nd but police have ruled out suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

To date the PSNI has been unable to establish details of Mr Downey’s next of kin however they believe he may have a sister living in the Tallaght area of Dublin.

Anyone who can help identify Mr Downey's close relatives is asked to contact the enquiry office at York Road police station, telephone 048 90 65022.
