Two people were recovering after three men burst into a house last night and robbed the couple after tying them to a chair.

Two people were recovering after three men burst into a house last night and robbed the couple after tying them to a chair.

The incident happened shortly before 8pm on Agivey Road in Kilrea, Co Derry. One of the men was armed with a handgun and they made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Meanwhile, two men, one armed with a handgun, held up a takeaway in Co Armagh, it emerged yesterday.

It happened at around 11.10pm on Friday night in the Portadown Road area of Tandragee.

The men, thought to be in their 20s, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Elsehere, a woman was robbed and assaulted early yesterday at the Great Victoria Street bus station in Belfast.

Police said the incident happened at around 9.10am when two men pushed the woman against a wall and made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.
