Man shot in Belfast paramilitary-style attack

A 23-year-old man has been shot in the ankles in a paramilitary-style shooting in Ballymurphy, West Belfast.

A 23-year-old man has been shot in the ankles in a paramilitary-style shooting in Ballymurphy, West Belfast.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the man was abducted by a gang of four men, who bundled him into a car as he walked along the Whiterock Road last night.

He was later found in the garden of a house in Dermot's Hill Gardens, Ballymurphy. He had been shot once in each ankle.

There were no arrests, and police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
