A man arrested in relation to a shooting in Co Sligo earlier this week was released last night without charge.
A file will be prepared and be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions, gardaí said.
The man was arrested after another man was shot in the face at a house in Connolly Park, Tubbercurry, at about 8pm on Monday night.
The victim, in his 30s, was taken by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
It is understood the shooting happened after an earlier argument between two men.
The man was arrested at the scene and was detained at Ballymote Garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
