A man is being treated in hospital after he was shot in the south Dublin suburb of Milltown this evening.
The man, who is in his twenties, was shot in the back shortly before 6.30pm.
He then entered a bar on the Milltown Road and sought assistance. An ambulance was called and he was taken to St Vincents Hospital for treatment.
His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
