One man has been arrested and is being at Mayerstone Garda station in Limerick this evening following the seizure of guns and drugs in the city.
Gardaí said the discovery was made as part of a planned search of St Mary's Park and the surrounding area at lunchtime by detectives and members of the Emergency Response Unit.
A 2.2 rifle, handgun and ammunition was found at the scene. Gardaí said a substance thought to be heroin was also recovered.
The man was arrested at 12.15pm today.
