Man faces six sex assault charges

A 33-year-old man was remanded on bail until October 13th by Athlone District Court yesterday on sex charges. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with five counts of indecent assault on dates between May 1st and August 31st, 1990, and with one count of sexual assault on a date in 1994. Bail was set at £1,000 in cash with one independent surety of £1,000.
