A man in his mid-20s has died after being struck by a car on the Trim-Dublin road near Batterston village in Co Meath early this morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.
Gardai at Dunboyne are appealing anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
