URBANA - A man charged with throwing a firebomb at a judge in his courtroom on Tuesday had lost a case before the same judge two years ago, Illinois police said yesterday.
Mr John Ewing (37), who was arrested on Tuesday night, was charged with arson, possession of an incendiary device and possession of such a device while committing a felony. Mr Gary Turner, chief deputy at the Champaign County sheriff's office, said Circuit Judge George Miller (69) dismissed a suit in 1995 that Mr Ewing brought against a supermarket.
