Kerry Group, Ireland's largest food company, said annual earnings will be around the top end of its forecast after a "solid" performance at the ingredients and flavours unit in the last four months.

Per-share profit will climb to the "upper end" of the range of 151 cents ($1.51) to 155 cents set out at the start of the year, the company said today in a statement.

"The group expects a good outturn for 2008, despite challenging economic conditions in many countries and the continued adverse impact of currency translation," Kerry said.
