London - Britain is to crack down on paedophiles who use the Internet to distribute pornography. The move was welcomed yesterday by both police and social workers, who said paedophiles were constantly seeking new ways to abuse children.
A government consultation paper offered guidance on how to handle Internet pornographers and offered social workers, police and teachers "a clear framework" on how to tackle abuse. "The guidance stresses the shared responsibility of families, professionals and the wider community for keeping children safe," said the Health Minister, Mr John Hutton.
