Five American servicemen have been killed in separate attacks in Iraq, the US military confirmed today.
Three soldiers on patrol south of Baghdad were killed by a roadside bomb. A fourth soldier died from wounds sustained in a small-arms fire attack in the capital's southwest, the military said.
Another US soldier died from wounds suffered in fighting near the western city of Falluja.
All five US servicemen were killed yesterday, the military said.

The deaths take the total of US military fatalities to 2,247 since the war began in 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
