FEMINIST author Eithne Viney admits that if her book launch had been in the West it would have been a lot livelier - and she wouldn't have been as nervous.

Her new book, Dancing to Different Tunes, has the rather enticing sub heading Sexuality and its Misconceptions and the author hopes that it will be read by "ordinary women and not only feminists or academics". Several of her friends made the trip over from the west including Austin and Meryl Bergin and Eithne and Michael Viney's daughter Michelle, to whom the book is dedicated.

Eithne's Dublin based friends turned out in force including Rosaleen Linehan, style writer Deirdre McQuilllan, Nuala Fennell, Mary Banotti, Paul and Virginia Hogan and broadcaster Ciana Campbell and her extremely charming young daughter Siobhan.
