Ding stripped of responsibilities

Beijing - Propaganda chief of China's Communist Party, Mr Ding Guangen, an ally of late leader Deng Xiaoping, has been stripped of his responsibility for the upcoming 15th Party Congress, sources said yesterday. The job has been handed over to three men: Central Committee General Office director, Mr Zeng Qinghong, and two deputies in the propaganda department, Mr Zeng Jianhui and Mr Xu Guangchun.
