Having had his choreography for Cameron Mackintosh's re-vamped musical, Martin Guerre, acclaimed in London, brilliant choreographer David Bolger is back in Dublin working on a new piece for his own company CoisCeim. Called Dish of the Day, it is said to give a new interpretation to George Bernard Shaw's remark that dancing is a "perpendicular expression of a horizontal desire". Clearly it reflects the same quirky, comical view of human behaviour that made Bolger's earlier works such as Straight With Curves, Reel Luck, Dances With Intent and Temporary Arrangements so popular. Music is by his regular collaborators, Bell Helicopter, and the dancers are Ella Clarke, Justin Doswell, James Hosty, Eric Lacey and Liz Roche.
