Cork based Comnitel Technologies, a provider of mobile telecommunications software, today announced euro 15 million in an additional equity investment following the successful completion of a second financing round.

Funding was led by US based SAIC Venture Capital Corporation and British based Mercury Private Equity Fund, both of which will be represented on the Board of Comnitel Technologies.

The other participants in this round are Ireland's ICC Venture Capital and Enterprise Ireland, the original investors, and Hamburgische Landesbank, the State Bank of Hamburg in Germany.

Comnitel was set up in Cork in 1999, and currently employs 52 people.
