The body of a fisherman who was caught in the nets of a vessel off the coast of Skerries yesterday is believed to be that of a Ukrainian national who went missing in January.

The man, who was in his 30s, fell overboard from the Zenith fishing boat on January 29th about 14 kilometres from Clogherhead in Co Louth. The body of a man wearing oil skins was picked up yesterday by the Rath Eilte which was fishing about 15 kilometres east of Skerries. The Skerries lifeboat met the Rath Eilte where the body was transferred. It is currently being examined by gardaí.
