London - Computer hackers put at risk the lives of space shuttle astronauts by interfering with their NASA space shuttle's systems, according to a BBC report. As the NASA craft orbiting the earth docked with its Russian counterpart Mir in 1997, the computer systems that monitor the heartbeat, pulse and medical conditions of the crew were interfered with. The US space agency was forced to communicate with their astronauts via Mir, according to the BBC report.
