Print firm pays £1.75m for Fruit of the Loom plant

An Irish print and packaging company has paid £1.75 million for the former Fruit of the Loom plant on the IDA Business Park in Bray, Co Wicklow.

The 40,000 square foot building includes 15,000 square feet of offices. Fruit of the Loom's main operation is located in Buncrana, Co Donegal.

Hamilton Osborne King, which handled the sale, has also leased a 7,000 square foot unit at the Airport Business Park beside Dublin Airport to O'Neills Electrical at a rent of £6 per square foot. The company is a subsidiary of Denmans Electrical of Bristol. Terms have also been agreed to lease a further 7,000 square foot unit to an Irish computer software company.

More than 200,000 square feet of new space has now been leased at the park and several more lettings are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
