Leading Galway developer O'Malley Construction is taking bookings for a new apartment development which will overlook both Galway Bay and the adjoining golf club in Salthill. The 56 two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments in the Dun na Carraige development at Blackrock in Salthill will be among the best located in the Galway area. There will be 14 units in each of the four blocks, which will have a high specification including handsome lobbies, lifts and video security entry systems. There will be two penthouses per block, each with stunning views along the coast.
All the penthouses, averaging around £320,000 each, have already been booked, along with a number of the two-bedroom apartments which were priced from £170,000. There were also 12 large five-bedroom detached houses booked off the plans within days, even though the 2,200 sq ft homes are not due to be completed until Christmas, 2000. The development includes a range of three-bedroom duplex units, which were also sold off the plans. O'Malley plans to open a two-bedroom showhouse on the site within six weeks.
