Google adds movie search to mobiles
SEARCH:FINDING YOUR night's entertainment just got easier. Google has added new content to its mobile search for movies, which allows you to find movie times and locations nearby, and Irish cinema listings have been included in the mix. You can search by theatre or movies, and it takes into account your location. Searching movies in Dublin city centre, for example, will bring up in the top results the Savoy Cinema or the Irish Film Institute. Let friends know where you are
JOIN:FOURSQUARE IS part friend-finder, part city guide and part game. The idea is that it connects you with friends, and allows you to see where they are at a particular time and vice versa. When you arrive at a location, you can use FourSquare to "check in". It also has a reward system: earn points for check-ins, win badges, and if you check in the most often at a particular location, eventually you might become "mayor" of it. Search engine for touch-screen mobiles

TOUCH-SCREEN MOBILE phones have changed the way we communicate, but some traditional methods still linger, notably in search engines. While some have kept up with the times, others try to force a desktop-based application into a small screen. Taptu has come up with a search interface designed for touch-screen phones, compatible with Android phones.
