A new waste management company has announced its intention to play a significant role in the growing water and waste water treatment industry. Celtic Utilities is being advised by the former ESB chief executive, Mr Joe Moran, and has, as a subsidiary National Water Treatments (NWT), a two-year-old company set up by Mr John Gallagher. Mr Gallagher, who is acting chairman of Celtic Utilities, said it already had a strong marketplace position because NWT was involved in the tendering for a number of projects under the Government's water and sewage capital works programme.
