Supermarket chain Sainsbury's plans to expand its current network of five stores in Northern Ireland to a portfolio of up to 14 outlets in coming years. The expansion plans were disclosed yesterday alongside the group's interim financial results. So far, however, directors gave no indication of moves to extend the group's activities into the Republic.
