Mr George Maloney has been elected as president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants for a 12-month term. Mr Maloney is corporate services partner at O'Hare and Associates Dublin.

Rondomondo, Eircom's digital media publishing venture, has appointed Ms Aine Healy as broadband studio manager. Previously, Ms Healy worked with Telefis Na Gaeilge, Tara TV, and Orbit Satellite and Radio Network in Rome.

Mr Stephen Carroll has been appointed finance director at Providence Resources and joins the board of the company. Mr Carroll has been group finance manager since September 1999. Prior to joining Providence, Mr Carroll was head of finance and company secretary with Tuskar Resources.

Goodbody Stockbrokers has appointed Mr Donal Hanlon to the position of electronic media manager to the private clients division of customers requiring a broad range of dealing services online. Orbiscom, the online payments solution provider, has made two appointments. Mr Ian Carron has been appointed head of professional services in Dublin and Mr Ray Sheridan has been appointed chief operating officer, US. Panorama Travel has appointed Mr Eamonn Quinn as marketing manager. Mr Quinn will be responsible for Panorama's marketing and brand management in the Irish market.

Ms Helen Martin has been appointed as sales manager for Irishhealth.com, a new health portal site. She is also responsible for The World of Irish Nursing and Converse.

Mr Pat Ridge has been reappointed as chairman of Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) by Mr Frank Fahey, Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, for a second three-year term.

Ms Lisa Clarkin has been appointed business manager at UTV Internet in the Republic. Ms Clarkin worked previously for radio stations FM 104 and 98 FM.

Nua, a knowledge management solutions provider for the Internet, has appointed Mr Rob Norton to head its knowledge development division. Mr Norton joins the company from Fortune magazine where he was executive editor.

Ms Siun Ni Raghallaigh has been appointed managing director at TG4. A native of Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal, Ms Ni Raghallaigh began her career with Telefis na Gaeilge in 1994.
