Murphy Brewery Ireland has acquired West Cork Bottling, the independent drinks distribution company, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition is the latest in a series of takeovers and joint ventures undertaken by Murphy Brewery Ireland to ensure the maximum distribution of its products.
Mr Gerry Donovan, managing director of West Cork Bottling, will remain at the company until January, 1999. After that the management of the company will be taken over by Murphy Brewery.
Mr Padraic Liston, managing director of Murphy Brewery Ireland said the company was committed to securing its supply channels to the trade throughout the Republic.
