Internet package for small business

A new all-in-one package, designed to allow small and medium businesses trade on the Internet, has been launched by a fledgling Irish company.

Trans-Action Gold, Cyrona Software's first product, allows companies establish a sales presence on the Web with a minimum of technical expertise.

Businesses input product information within a basic design, and the pages can be automatically activated for online trading. It can be used in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer electronic commerce.

The key advantage of TransAction Gold is that it will allow traders manage customers, view orders and change product information quickly and easily.

Customers have the advantage of being able to search, select and order products within just one window. The Taoiseach, Mr Ahern, officiated at the launch and welcomed the development.

"There could not be a company which more aptly sums up this government's aim of creating a powerful global hub of e-commerce through Irish enterprise, than Cyrona and its innovative team," Mr Ahern said.

Cyrona has already established distribution arrangements with a number of Web development companies, and it now plans to channel its product through Internet service providers as well as selling the product direct to consumers on www.cyrona.com.
