Ms Mary Finan has been appointed deputy chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Group, which is part of WPP. The Ogilvy & Mather Group encompasses the Ogilvy & Mather and Chemistry advertising agencies, Ogilvy One, the direct marketing company, the Network media company and Wilson Hartnell Public Relations, of which Ms Finan is managing director.
A graduate of UCD, Ms Finan was the first woman president of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and is a director of Canada Life Assurance (Ireland), the Automobile Association and the Gate Theatre. She is also a council member of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority and of the Economic and Social Research Institute.
