ITG, the communications service provider, yesterday announced the appointment of Mr John Williamson as executive finance director and a former British Minister for the Arts, Lord Gowrie, as a non-executive director. Mr Williamson has previously worked for Visio International and Walsh Western International.

Lord Gowrie was minister of state at the Northern Ireland Office from 1981 to 1983 and worked on the Anglo-Irish Agreement. He became a Privy Counsellor in the 1984 New Year's Honours List and was Minister for the Arts from 1983 to 1985.
