Terenure College 22 St Andrew's College 7: ST ANDREW'S College, under recently appointed director David Kirk, competed strongly at Sydney Parade yesterday before succumbing to a Terenure College team who impressed up front.

Andrew’s had gone in front inside 10 minutes when, starting out wide on the left, the ball was moved through the hands, with wing forward Johnny Guy eventually touching down in the right corner.

Jordan Larmour, the Andrew’s centre, sent over the conversion before Terenure’s Seán Stanley crossed for a try.

That left it 7-5 at the break, with Terenure then going in front five minutes into the second half, courtesy of a pick-and-go try from scrumhalf Paddy O’Hehir.

St Andrew’s finished the game well but, up against an impressive pack, couldn’t summon enough momentum.
