Munster Senior Cup: A drop goal four minutes into injury time by Gerry Slattery put St Munchin's into the semi-final of the Munster Schools Senior Cup yesterday.

Rockwell, rank outsiders, had swept into a 12-0 lead at Thomond Park four minutes into the second half.

Eoghan Grace put them in front after 25 minutes with a try, converted by Donal Collins, and Killian Roche had a second try and a big surprise seemed on the cards.

But a try by Alan Cotter, converted by John Paul Harris, gave St Munchin's renewed hope, and just at the end Eamon Buckley tied the game with a try. Then came Slattery's dramatic winner.
