CHRISTY ROCHE, who bids for his fifth Moyglare Stud Stakes win, has opted to partner Family Tradition in Sunday's Group One juvenile fillies race at the Curragh.

"The trip might possibly be a bit short but she is a very nice filly and has had a better preparation for the race than Melleray or Air Of Distinction," said Roche yesterday.

Leading British challenger for the seven-furlong contest is likely to be York's Lowther Stakes winner Bianca Nera who was supplemented at a cost of £12,500 by David Loder on Wednesday.

She will aim to maintain the fine run of form which has seen her stable's two-year-olds also capture the Prix Morny at Deauville and the Gimcrack Stakes at York in recent weeks.

Other acceptors for the £150,000 contest include the Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained Newbury listed winner Crystal Crossing, and once-raced maiden winner Ryafan (John Gosden). Paul Cole's Ovation misses the race.

The race will be shown live on BBC2 as part of the Sunday Grandstand programme.
