The Press, Radio and Television Golf Society saw their season begin on a disappointing note as their opening outing was called off. They were due to play the European Club yesterday, but took the decision to call off the outing in light of the foot-and-mouth scares gripping the country. The European Club, to their credit, fully accepted the Society's reasons and have agreed to give them another date later in the year.

The Squires Golf Society are going all high-tech from next week. Next Monday night, March 12th, at Maguire's Brothers in Rathfarnham (7.0), the society will launch their new website.
