A number of senior business people from a wide range of major companies took part in a golf challenge in aid of Junior Achievement Ireland at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links last week. Junior Achievement is a voluntary organisation aimed at building links between the workplace and the classroom.
This is achieved by the willingness of the sponsor companies to supply members of their staff to teach enterprise programmes to students in the classroom. Junior Achievements activity is focused heavily on schools in disadvantaged areas where their mission is to encourage schoolgoers to complete the school cycle and take up a career or course of study in business.
