GAELIC GAMES ALL-IRELAND SFC: JACK O'CONNOR has recalled Colm Cooper and Tomás Ó Sé to Kerry's starting line-up for Monday's All-Ireland quarter-final against Dublin at Croke Park following the pair's demotion to the bench for disciplinary reasons against Antrim last Sunday.

Ó Sé lines out at right wing back and Cooper regains his customary number 13 jersey while, in a third change to the team that beat Antrim, Donncha Walsh comes in at left half forward. The three players to lose out are Aidan O’Mahony, Sean O’Sullivan and Tadgh Kennelly.

Earlier yesterday O’Connor had scotched rumours that Kieran Donaghy might make a cameo appearance against Dublin and he was duly missing from last night’s teamsheet. Donaghy had evidently returned too early from a fractured metatarsal, sustained against Derry in the National League final, before landing heavily against Longford in a qualifier match three weeks ago.

“We came out of the Antrim game relatively unscathed the last day which is good,” said O’Connor. “We probably deserved a break from injuries because we have had more than our fair share. We appear to be okay but I think, based on the information we are getting, that the game against Dublin will come too early for him.”

Dublin have their usual media gathering tomorrow with Bryan Cullen certain to regain his old centre-back role due to Ger Brennan’s one-match suspension arising from his red card against Kildare in the Leinster final.

Ciarán Whelan is making a strong case for inclusion from the start with either Ross McConnell or Darren Magee to make way.

Kildare wing-back Mickey Conway has been confirmed absent for the remainder of the campaign after a scan revealed cruciate knee ligament damage. A decision on Eamonn Callaghan’s troublesome groin injury will be made today, while no other changes are expected despite calls for Kevin O’Neill to shore up the full-back line.

Their opponents on Sunday, All-Ireland champions Tyrone, are without goalkeeper John Devine, Ryan Mellon and Niall Gormley but Mickey Harte should still field the best football team in the country. Cork have already selected ahead of the meeting with Donegal who are without injured duo Michael Maguire and Christy Toye.

Mayo await the winners of Limerick and Meath. Meath will release a team late tonight but Limerick manager Mickey Ned O’Sullivan is struggling with multiple injuries ahead of the Portlaoise game. Jim O’Donovan, Ger Collins and captain Seanie Buckley are the main doubts with the availability of hurlers Mark O’Riordan and Stephen Lucey still to be confirmed.

KERRY(SF v Dublin): D Murphy; M Ó Sé, T Griffin, T O'Sullivan; T Ó Sé, M McCarthy, K Young; D Ó Sé, S Scanlon; P Galvin, Declan O'Sullivan, D Walsh; C Cooper, T Walsh, Darran O'Sullivan.
