All's well in west

THE Terry Bell Trophy has gone west for the fourth successive year

THE Terry Bell Trophy has gone west for the fourth successive year. The annual competition played between the North Western Golfing Alliance (drawn from clubs in Donegal, Derry and Tyrone) and the North Eastern Golfing Alliance (drawn from Royal Portrush, Portstewart, Rathmore and Castlerock) was played at North West and won by the western alliance 71/2 to 21/2, the same margin by which they had won at Castlerock last year.

The trophy, competed for since 1970, commemorates the late Terry Bell, who was a member of both societies. The next outing of the North Western Alliance will be at Greencastle on Saturday.
