Sir, - In light of the recent tragedy at Slane bridge, I am amazed and appalled that nothing has been done about the bridge in Maynooth. It is a circuitous, treacherous bridge.
As the mother of a student who crosses the bridge several times a day on a bicycle, I do hope the matter will be resolved. Erecting a walk-way would be of enormous help to pedestrians.
On my son's return to Maynooth at the weekends my parting words are usually: "Be careful on that bridge." - Yours, etc.,
