Madam, - Niamh MacNamara (May 4th) can rest assured that not only did we think about planting trees along the Luas line - we went ahead and planted them. We are planting almost 3,000 trees (3-3.5 metres). In addition there are 150,000 shrubs, 35,000 saplings, 37,000 small herbaceous plants and a lot more besides.
