Madam, – The continual revising upward of Government figures, whether of the bank bailout or the deficit is depressing enough. However, the revising upward of tragic deaths in care (“HSE revises figures for deaths of children”, Home News, December 9th), especially at this time, is heart-breaking. Are we to be resigned to the reality of, whatever they tell us, it is, in fact, worse? – Yours, etc,
