Clarification of court report, published in Irish Times on May 1st 2009, under heading: Certain State bodies to get Gama report.
A report in yesterday’s edition, concerning a Supreme Court decision relating to circulation of a labour inspectors report into underpayment of Turkish workers employed by Gama Cconstruction, incorrectly stated the court had ruled the inspectors report could be circulated to certain parties.
The court ruled the report could be circulated to State bodies with a criminal prosecutorial function. The report may not be circulated to the Law Society, the National Roads Authority, the joint body of local authorities and the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority.
A headline over an article in the edition of April 24th, concerning the shrine for Japan’s war dead, stated incorrectly Aso visit to shrine for Japans war dead angers China.As the article itself made clear, Prime Minister Aso offered a potted tree to the Shrine, instead of visiting it.
