The Taoiseach said last night a series of public meetings the Minister for Agriculture will hold with livestock farmers next month seek to reassure the farmer and the market about the BSE crisis.
The meetings are aimed at providing farmers with the opportunity to put their concerns and proposals on the crisis directly to Mr Yates. The meetings will be held on a provincial basis over the next fortnight in Tullamore, Co Offaly; Cootehill, Co Cavan; Athenry, Co Galway; and Charleville, Co Cork.
