This week, I came across the product that may change the course of the rest of my life, an innovation so revolutionary it makes the printing press look like the spray-on condom. I give you: the Bic For Her pen, a biro specially designed for ladies.

Why do women need different pens to men, you ask? Well, clearly you’ve never tried to get your delicate little fist around the brutish body of a standard size Bic Cristal. The Bic For Her comes, the manufacturer says, with “a slimmer barrel designed to fit more comfortably in women’s hands”. It also “writes up to two times more than other ballpoint pens”, because we girls talk a lot.

As soon as I get to try it, I’ll let you ‘know whether it also automatically puts a heart over all my i’s. Of course, I just need to find a man to prise the top off for me first.
